Unlike most of the series of other actions on TV, MacGyver had brought in its own unique flavor to the world of television. First launched in 1985 the program was immediately much fanfare. The audience reacted positively to the lead character who had the ability to solve crimes and fight against evil using everyday objects as weapons.
The main character in the series MacGyver, played by Richard Dean Anderson. He is an employee a Phoenix Foundation. MacGyver is a hero in his own right, albeit in a rather unorthodox as far as number of action are considered. He has his own phobias and their own problems in life. What made his character is so real and adorable is the fact that it is less than perfect, who is afraid of heights. MacGyver does not use at all, because weapons of their principles and uses his mind to come to everyday items that can be used instead.
His best friend is Pete Thornton, played by Dana Elcar is the director of the foundation. His friend sent several missions on a regular basis and sometimes tries to help in any way I can. Another friend in the show that often helps MacGyver. Jack Dalton, played by Bruce McGill is a pilot who always manages to get in trouble, but nevertheless tries to help his friend as much as possible.
There are the usual bad guys, friends, problems that seem to be bringing more problems instead of helping him and in the midst of MacGyver always tries to keep calm. There are several unusual and dangerous events in your life that seeks to address. It is their only method of solving crimes that makes the show so interesting.
In the first season of Macgyver Seasons 1-7 box set dvd, there are several interesting episodes, such as MacGyver tries to help a journalist to help her cross the border. He also tries to disarm bombs on a cruise ship and manages to fight against a professional murderer with the help of a computer geek. No matter what the challenge is and who is the enemy, MacGyver is always ready to face the challenge head on and become victorious.
MacGyver had been very successful because it represented a different kind of hero. There is no violence since the hard core of the main character is against. He is a true gentleman who tries to fight the bad guys with intelligence. It was his enigma and charm that had made the series so successful.
